Inspiring animals and their young are often the subject of art works – horses and their foal, hens and their chicks and sheep with their lamb.

Today’s reading hour is a little earlier in the day – an afternoon rest in the sunshine with a cool glass of Fentimans Ginger Beer to accompany local community magazines – The Stockbridge Spotlight and Trinity Spotlight.

There’s a lovely, quiet time in a summer evening, after eating but before the sun has set which feels like a bonus hour or two of daylight.  It’s a great time to walk or read – this week we are flipping through Konect Magazine and The Dell Directory, with a wee tot of Balvenie Whiskey.
